On October 25th, the "2024 Member Assembly of China Rubber Industry Association’s Rubber Machinery and Mold Branch and Industry Development Seminar" was held in Qingdao. The theme of the conference was "Innovation Leads to Prosperity - Promoting High-Quality Development and Building a Sustainable Future." More than 150 industry experts and corporate representatives from tire, rubber machinery, tire molds, and supporting enterprises attended the event to discuss the hot issues of concern in the current rubber industry and its development trends. The conference was co-hosted by the Rubber Machinery and Mold Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association and MESNAC Co., Ltd.
Jiang Xin, the Secretary-General of the Rubber Machinery and Mold Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association, read out the "Reply on the Appointment of the Chairman of the Rubber Machinery and Mold Branch." MESNAC Co., Ltd. was elected as the president council member of the 11th Council of the Rubber Machinery and Mold Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association. Guan Bingzheng, Chairman and President of MESNAC Co., Ltd., served as the chairman of the 11th Council of the Rubber Machinery and Mold Branch of the China Rubber Industry Association. Xu Wenying, President of the China Rubber Industry Association, presented the chairmanship plaque to Guan Bingzheng.
Xu Wenying delivered a report titled "Analysis and Future Outlook of the Economic Operation of China's Rubber Industry." Xu pointed out that China's tire industry currently faces several issues, including an overly large proportion of exports, frequent trade frictions, and severe homogenization competition. Against this backdrop, tire enterprises should pursue internationalization and sustainable development paths, pay attention to environmental, social, and governance issues, build an ESG system, move away from "barbaric growth," and seek high-quality, orderly development.
Regarding the challenges faced by the current rubber machinery and mold industry, she proposed three suggestions: first, focus on the non-tire equipment market; second, develop towards remote service, low energy consumption, customized, and distinctive intelligent equipment enterprises; third, increase equipment exports to non-Chinese tire enterprises, especially well-known international tire companies.
Based on the industry development trends, Guan Bingzheng gave a report on "Reflections on the Work of the New Council." He shared four insights into industry development. First, the next ten years will still be a strategic development period for China's rubber machinery and mold industry; second, the product power based on value creation will increasingly become the core competitiveness of rubber machinery and mold enterprises; third, mechanical mold enterprises need to have localization service capabilities matching the global expansion of Chinese tire enterprises; fourth, adhere to sustainable development.
Regarding the work to be carried out by the new council, he mentioned that in the future, relying on close connections with member units, they would better play a bridging role to promote technical exchange and cooperation among member enterprises; take proactive actions to support domestic substitution of components and intellectual property protection; actively promote the joint creation and construction of industry standards; encourage willing member units to strategically align and develop together with end-product companies.
The conference was chaired by Zhou Chuanhai, Assistant President of Mesnac and General Manager of MESNAC Union Technology Co., Ltd. Ding Zhentang, Assistant President of MESNAC and General Manager of the Curing Press Division, delivered a report titled "Development Trends of Intelligent Tire Curing Press Equipment."
After the conference, delegates visited the MESNAC Equipment Industrial Park and MESNAC Union Technology Industrial Park for exchanges. Concurrently, the second working meeting for the formulation of the group standard "Tire Intelligent Manufacturing Quality and Intelligent Lean Management Model" was also held.
